Dr. Wolfer is one a select few doctors in the United States Board-Certified in three specialties: Sports Medicine, Physical Medicine and Rehabiliation and Pain Medicine. She is Board-Eligible for Integrative and Health Medicine. She received her MD from the University of California, San Francisco and her Master__s Degree in Health and Medical Science from University of California, Berkeley. She completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Harvard Medical School. While at Harvard she received her Medical Certification in Acupuncture. After residency, she completed 2 additional Fellowships: the #1 ranked Spine and Sports Medicine Fellowship in the US at the #1 ranked Rehabilitaton Institute of Chicago (RIC), and, an Interventional Spine Fellowship with Richard Derby, MD at the world-renowned Spinal Diagnostics and Treatment Center in Daly City, CA. She is a global thought leader and lecturer in Regenerative and Functional Orthopedic Medicine. She has appeared on the Dr. Oz show and was one of Tim Ferriss__ personal doctors in the New York Times #1 Best Seller, The 4-Hour Body. Dr. Wolfer is the current President and Founder of the International Society for Regenerative and Functional Orthopedic Medicine (ISRFOM).
